Critzer Family Farm
The Critzer Family has been farming in the Rockfish Valley since the Revolutionary War. Whitney and Rosemary Critzer say that they “stand behind a five generation commitment to leave the land and community better than when we found it!” Helped by longtime farm manager Berdy Egan, the Critzers feed their community and care for their land with a devotion to the past and the future by using environmentally friendly practices, and welcoming the public to their farm for strawberries, peaches, melons and other seasonal vegetables and flowers.
Among many skills and many products, Critzer Family Farm delivers huge quantities of late-season summer crops like tomatoes, zucchini and squash to the Local Food Hub distribution center just down the road from the farm…as Whitney says, “You can’t get more local than this.”
