Plant Sale Recap & a Winner!
It’s been more than few weeks since our plant sale and open house, but it’s never too late to share photos, right? We had such a great day — more than 300 of our friends and neighbors stopped by (can you really stay “stopped by” when you’re all the way out in Scottsville?), we sold tons of plants and lots of local fruits and veggies, and just generally had a good ol’ time on the farm.
We saw familiar faces and met new supporters and had a fantastic time sharing this project with our community.
We also raffled off a big box of local veggies, eggs, meat and grape juice, and many of you are probably wondering who the lucky winner is. Well, we’re happy to announce that it’s this fellow, pictured below. Congrats, Jacob! In case you can’t see his T-shirt, you should know that Jacob is a student at Buford Middle School and works with the Schoolyard Garden program. He also said he was going to take that box of goodies straight home to his mom — and already had plans for a delicious mother’s day breakfast using the ingredients. What a good boy!

Thanks to everyone for joining us on such a special day. We hope you had a great time! And if you didn’t make it, we hope we’ll see you at another event soon.
Oh, and special thank you to our good friend Eze for his masterful photographic skills! See more of his photos (and maybe a glimpse of yourself!) in the slideshow here.
