Time to ‘fess up — we’ve been keeping a little secret from you. See, a few weeks ago, we had a special visitor to Maple Hill Farm… but we’ve been keeping that little tidbit to ourselves, patiently waiting for the perfect moment to share.
Well, today’s the day! A few weeks ago, we hosted none other than Sandy Hausman, crack reporter and Radio IQ/NPR journalist extraordinaire, at the Educational Farm. She toured the operation, met one of the many pesky groundhogs that feast on our tomatoes, and best of all, got to spend some time talking with Tul, Sha, Kedar, and Yadu.
She learned about our new partnership with the IRC, and about how we’re helping new refugees with agricultural backgrounds get settled here in Charlottesville. It’s a pretty fantastic piece and definitely worth a listen! If you missed it on the radio this morning, you can take a listen to the short segment here.
