Read more »Over the years, industrial agriculture has caused us to depend on a handful of commercial varieties of fruits and vegetables and as a result, thousands of heirloom varieties have disappeared. Check out this info-graphic from the folks at National Geographic showing the varieties of seeds offered just a century ago compared to what’s available now. Yikes!
